The Blue Jays are the move tonight. This is a straight-up mismatch on the mound that we’re going to exploit.
Pitching match-up?
💥 Kevin Gausman is back on the bump for the Jays, and while he’s had some turbulence this season, he’s still a strikeout-heavy arm with elite upside. His K-rate is sitting at 26.5%, and he's been far better away from home than people realize. Colorado bats are hitting just .229 vs Right handed pitching since the All-Star break, and they’re striking out over 25% of the time in that span. Gausman should feast on this lineup, especially early.
On the flip side? We get Kyle Freeland, who’s been nothing short of batting practice this season. He owns a disgusting 6.62 ERA, with a WHIP north of 1.60, and the guy’s giving up a home run nearly every four innings. And now he faces a Toronto team that’s got power up and down the lineup from Bichette to Vlad Jr. all with the launch angle to punish soft tossers like Freeland at Coors.
Wind going outward?
🚨 Add in the 5 MPH wind blowing out at altitude and you've got a nightmare scenario for a guy like Freeland who lives and dies with pitch-to-contact. He’s allowed 19 earned runs in his last 3 starts, and I wouldn’t be shocked if the Jays tag him for 4+ by the third inning.
Toronto's bullpen has been top -5 in WHIP since July, while Colorado’s ranks bottom-three. Once Gausman exits, we’ve still got the better arms late.
Blue Jays Trends
Overall ATS in 2025: 67‑46, +18.55 units, 12% ROI
Road favorites: solid run line cover rate 41‑21 (66%) when the Jays are underdogs, but as road favorites they’ve still been able to cover 24 of 47,
Head-to-head vs Colorado: Blue Jays are 4‑2 ATS in their last six matchups
Rockies Trends
ATS season record: 46‑66, losing 17.85 units, 14% ROI struggles straight up and against the run line all year
ATS vs Toronto: The Rockies are 2‑4 ATS in their last six games vs the Jays.
Home vs Blue Jays: even at Coors they’re only 4‑2 SU, but just 2‑4 ATS.
🔒 Official Play: Blue Jays -1.5
Toronto’s trend lines are hot, their ATS units are profitable, and they handle the rock-bottom Rockies in both runline and straight-up form. Coors is hittable when you're facing an elite batters’ park, but the market hasn't respected that value angle yet.
Lock it in and let’s keep stacking those units.
