The Dodgers’ lineup is one of the most dangerous in baseball, and they get a favorable matchup against Kyle Freeland, who enters with a 7.25 ERA and has struggled to keep hitters off the bases all season. Los Angeles has been swinging hot bats recently, and even if they do most of the damage themselves, this total is well within reach. Eric Lauer has been more reliable, but Colorado has shown flashes offensively and is capable of contributing enough to help push this game into double digits.
I’m expecting plenty of hard contact, extra-base hits, and scoring opportunities throughout the night. If the Dodgers get to Freeland early, Colorado should have chances against the bullpen later in the game.
