Fresno State enters this matchup as the more balanced and confident team, and they should have enough firepower on both sides of the ball to cover against a struggling Colorado State squad. The Bulldogs’ offense has shown solid efficiency, averaging over 380 total yards per game with a near 60% red zone conversion rate, while their defense ranks among the top half of the Mountain West in points allowed and third-down stops. Colorado State, meanwhile, has been plagued by turnovers and inconsistency, allowing nearly 30 points per game and getting gashed for over 160 rushing yards on average. Fresno’s ability to control tempo and win the line of scrimmage should prove decisive here, especially with their defense limiting big plays downfield. Expect Fresno to dictate pace early and extend late.
