The Reds head into St. Louis tonight with Andrew Abbott (9-6, 2.79 ERA) on the mound against Michael McGreevy (6-3, 4.44 ERA) for the Cardinals, and the matchup clearly favors Cincinnati. Abbott has been steady all season with strong strikeout numbers and a sub-3 ERA, while McGreevy has been hittable and inconsistent, giving the Reds a big edge in the pitching department. St. Louis has struggled at home and their offense has been unreliable, while Cincinnati sits at .500 and is fighting to stay alive in the playoff race. Oddsmakers have the Reds as slight favorites around -120 on the moneyline, and given the pitching disparity, that looks like the right side.
