The Rangers and Twins square off tonight in Arlington, and while Texas has been inconsistent, they hold the edge at home against a Minnesota team that’s been fading down the stretch. Patrick Corbin (7-10, 4.33 ERA) gets the ball for Texas, and though he’s had mixed results, he matches up better than Twins starter Zebby Matthews (4-6, 5.97 ERA), who’s struggled to find rhythm all year. The Rangers’ bats tend to come alive at Globe Life, and with Minnesota’s bullpen also shaky, this game lines up well for Texas to control the scoreboard. Expect runs from both sides with two hittable arms on the mound, but the Rangers’ offense and home field advantage should be the difference.
