Florida State enters this matchup as a 7-point favorite and for good reason, the Seminoles have been consistent on both sides of the ball, led by QB Tommy Castellanos, whose dual-threat ability keeps defenses guessing and should exploit Virginia’s issues defending the run and early downs. FSU’s offensive line has been winning in the trenches, creating balance between the ground game and play-action, and their defense has done well limiting explosive plays, forcing opponents to drive the length of the field. Virginia will try to lean on QB Chandler Morris and WR Trell Harris to test the secondary, and the Cavaliers have the added boost of a home crowd and throwback uniforms to commemorate past upsets, but the matchup still tilts heavily toward FSU. With deeper talent, better consistency, and a ground game that directly attacks UVA’s weaknesses, Florida State is the stronger side. It might be on the public side but I have to roll FSU.
