K-State’s edge at quarterback with Avery Johnson (763 yards, 6 TD, 1 INT through three games) gives them a higher ceiling against an Arizona team that hasn’t yet been stressed by real competition, the Wildcats from Tucson have blanked Hawaii and Weber State and piled up 333 rush yards across those two tune-ups, but this is a step up after last year’s 31-7 K-State win in the series. K-State is passing for 254.3 ypg at 7.8 YPA (26.7 ppg overall), while Arizona’s gaudy 44.0 ppg and 450.0 ypg come with a modest 38.1% third-down rate and limited resistance faced to date. I’m laying the short number with the more proven QB and the team that already solved this opponent last year.
