NFL Preseason: New Orleans Saints @ Los Angeles Chargers

The Saints roll into SoFi Stadium for a West Coast preseason showdown against the Chargers, and all eyes are on Kellen Moore in his debut as head coach. Moore, fresh off a Super Bowl winning OC run in Philly, now leads a New Orleans roster that’s looked sharp in camp. Expect him to script a fast start against a team he knows inside and out he was calling plays for the Chargers just two seasons ago.

The Chargers are still sorting through depth chart battles at key positions, including QB2, while their offensive line depth is being tested early due to injuries. On the other side, New Orleans has looked organized and efficient in camp, with a defense that’s creating turnovers and an offense that’s finding rhythm both on the ground and in the air.

Why I’m Taking the Saints -2.5:

Kellen Moore’s familiarity with the Chargers’ roster and tendencies.

Saints’ deeper and more cohesive second unit.

Chargers’ OL injuries could create protection issues for backup QBs.

Defensive depth giving New Orleans the preseason edge.

Prediction: Saints start fast, force mistakes, and control both sides of the ball. By the second half, depth wins out and they pull away.
