The Game of the Week. I thought about making this a monster play, and I still might. Everyone is talking about it and everyone has their own opinion about it. Most people talking about this game are WAY off one way or another. Never can someone 100% guarantee a win. Crazy stuff happens in sports. I have a lot to share, so why not a blog for the people. So why the Lions...


The Lions have been pretty damn good. The Lions & Raiders were on similar paths. Started out slow, and after a nice win streak... Now are all of a sudden flirting with the playoff picture. There are a couple key differences between these two. 2/3 of the Raiders wins were in OT against mediocre teams. Their schedule has been as bad as any, but have come out on top against bad teams. That was one of the main reasons for the 7u Rams last night.. The Lions are completely different. They have been competing against top competition. They smoked the Jags & Giants. They fought with the Bills, Dolphins, Cowboys & Vikings (the 1st game). The Lions are dangerous in certain situations.


Jared Goff in a dome is one of the best QBs in NFL History. That is not an overstatement. Even on the Rams he struggled outdoors. It has been no different for the Lions. He has dominated at home. DOMINATED. In a disastrous year last year, Goff went 3-5 at home with with 13:3 TDs:INTs... On the Road?? 0-5-1 with 6 TDs & 5 INTs. This year? More of the same. The Lions are only 3-4 at home but have lost to the: Eagles, Bills, Dolphins & Seahawks.. Tough damn schedule. In those 7 home games, Jared Goff has thrown for 17 TDs / 3 INTs.. Compare that to his 5 road games with 2 TDs / 4 INTs.


In the beginning of the year, I said the Lions could make some noise in the NFC.. Within the first week of the season, their offensive line was devastated with injuries. Heading into the season with a potentially top-5 offensive line in football with DeAndre Swift & Amon Ra "The Sun God" St Brown... The Lions are now healthy and have been cooking. The Vikings get lucky almost every single week. There is a fine line between talent & luck. Having the best WR in football certainly helps.. The Vikings should be 8-4 at best.. That would make the line look a little more realistic..


Forget the records. The Lions have been the better team over the past 3 weeks, the past 6 weeks, even as far back as the past 10 weeks. The Lions have been the better team and are playing with extreme confidence. When they are healthy, they are dangerous as shown by the 8-0 ATS record with both Amon Ra & Swift in the starting lineup. The defense was the issue for the Lions in the beginning of the season. They are playing phenomenal football over the past month. Keep it rolling, Lions.
