Littell vs Olson


Rays 1st 5 Innings ML (-130) *DraftKings


Littell has quietly been one of the better pitchers in the entire MLB. He only has 4 starts and is mainly a reliever, but last time out went his season high 5 innings vs the Astros. He does not really give up home runs and has not allowed a walk in his last 20 innings. He does this with a K rate over 9 per 9 IP. His ERA is a terrible number to judge him on considering the number of innings he has pitched this year. He has also faced a GAUNTLET of opponents (Hou, Bal, Tex, Atl) in his last four outings.


As for the Rays bats, they have been getting back on track after having a terrible June to mid-July. They were the worst team in the MLB vs RHP over that stretch, but have found a groove and back in the middle of the MLB. Olson has been solid, but is among the worst the MLB in Barrel Rate allowed. When teams square up the ball, it is a matter of time before the runs follow.

Marlins vs Rangers

Luzardo vs Montgomery



The Marlins have been one of the best teams vs LHP over the past couple of months. They have some of the biggest splits between LHP vs RHP in the MLB. Now they get Montgomery in his first start for the Rangers. The Marlins just faced Montgomery while he was pitching for the Cardinals. While Montgomery got the best of the Marlins in that game, it was a bit on the lucky side. In 6 IP, he has 5 K's, 2 BB's & 6 hits while only allowing 1 run. He had a low whiff-rate and most importantly, the Marlins had an average exit velocity of 94 MPH. They ripped Montgomery, but came out a bit unlucky. Today, they get back at him.


On the flip side you have Jesus Luzardo, one of the nastiest young pitchers in baseball. This season, the Rangers have been great vs LHP, but have been struggling as of late. With Luzardo's filth and ability to keep runners off base, it may only take 2 runs for the Marlins to take care of business in this one.
